Couldn’t agree more with point 3. I have created incentivized referral programs with clients before, and they never quite meet expectations.

Besides, no one likes being told about a product or service simply because their friend is making a buck from it. It begs the question was it not good enough to share without the incentive?

True viral marketing comes naturally from an outstanding product or legendary service.
