		<description>Some of the bigger brand companies are already twigging to the SMM wave.  You just have to look to programs like InstantBuzz and similar, and you will find large names using groups of people to start word of mouth campaigns for them.  

The problem I see is that when the big players do get into SMM, it becomes harder and harder to trust people's WOM, as you never know who is an incentivised seeder, and who is genuinely giving you an opinion.

Your point on metrics is a tricky one: we have neer really been able to measure the benefits of branding, and I think for similar reasons we may never really accuratley be able to measure SMM.</description>
